Working at Unrivaled Basketball has been one of the most exhilarating experiences of my career. Every day brought something new, from documenting early morning strength sessions to capturing the raw, unfiltered moments between some of the best players in the world.

The First Days
When I joined the team, the league was brand new. Nobody knew exactly what Unrivaled would become, but you could feel the energy from day one. Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart had built something special: a league that genuinely cared about both the athletes and the fans.
My job was to translate that energy into content. To show the world not just the highlights, but the human side of these athletes.
What No One Tells You About Sports Social Media
The job sounds glamorous, and in many ways it is. But it's also intense, fast-paced, and requires you to make decisions in seconds.
A player does something incredible in practice? You have 30 seconds to decide whether to film it, how to frame it, and whether it's ready to share. The window closes fast.
What I learned quickly: the best content comes from trust. Once the athletes trust that you'll represent them well, honestly and with respect, they open up. And that's when you capture the moments that actually matter.

The Growth Numbers
In the first months, we grew the follower base by over 400% and increased reach by 2,256% across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Those numbers sound incredible. And they are. But behind every percentage point is a piece of content that someone connected with.
A video of a player laughing between drills. A post-game interview that felt real. A behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to be a professional athlete in 2025.
That's what moves the needle. Not tricks, not hacks. Authenticity.

What's Next
Unrivaled is just getting started. And so am I. The lessons from this season, about storytelling, about sports, about what it means to build community, will shape everything I do next.
Follow along with Unrivaled on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube to see where the league goes from here.
